How prevalent is hand, foot and mouth disease in the UK?
I hadn’t heard of it until recently
It is quite common and very contagious. It is however relatively harmless and will clear up after a week or so. Quarantine will keep it from spreading to others.
It is completely different to and totally unrelated to the foot and mouth disease which is found in farm animals.

OMG YOU ARE SO WRONG… HOWEVER YOU HAVE TO TELL IF YOU HAVE HERPES 1 OR 2… IN THE MOUTH! STOP ASKIN ONLINE!?
Look dont be that irresponsible your talking about a very serious thing… if you had oral sex with someone and retracted the disease its problably type 2 and anyone you kiss has a high percentage of contracting the disease. If you have type one, well then your like 90% of the entire world. However, no one goes to the doctor for type one so Im afraid you most likely have type 2 and you can infect anyone. Type 1 is a joke, they are hyping it up to scare people.
90% of the world doesn’t have Type 1.
Type 1 is the one that is designated oral herpes while type 2 is designated genital herpes. Since we humans occasionally like to put our mouths on others genitals Type 1 can now be on the genitals and Type 2 can be on the mouth.

What role does the UK government have in the management of rabies and foot and mouth?
Hello. In a section of my assignment I am required to explain the role of the government (United Kingdom, not USA) in the management of Rabies and Foot and Mouth disease. Could anyone give me any sources or help with any explanations? Your answers are very much appreciated.

Advice with this girl?
I’m 11. I went on vacation and met this really hot 11 yr old girl (Gal A). We exchanged screenames. She has a boyfriend. I wish she was my girlfriend. We’re very nice to each other. But when she kept rejecting me, I knew that there were other girls. She sent me a picture of one of her friends (Gal B). Her friend is not as hot as her, but was more available. I got her screename and she instantly knew who I was. While we talked, she rejected me. I asked Gal A why Gal B didn’t want me. She said that one of their tenage friends met a guy on the net. She gave him a B.J. and now has a mouth disease. I tried to close the subject, but, too late. Her mom saw the screen and Girl A was suspended from IM for 2 weeks. I had no sexual intention ever at all because that’s not how I think. At this adolescent stage I believe I just want a girlfriend to have one. All her friends, Gal B included, hate me because they think it’s my fault but technically it’s not. I’m still madly in love w/ Gal A. Help!
Honey, you said you don’t think this way, they’re way ahead of you. You’re infatuated. You will always think of this girl, believe me, but she’s a girl in another phase. She has other things in mind…and having you wanting her is one of them. When she comes around again, if she’s using you, there’s a chance she will flirt with you and try all kinds of things to make you want her, but when you show her that you want her so bad, she will push you away and ignore you completely. I hate to say this but this infatuation…will happen alot. It’s a good thing that you’re not thinking like they are…(sexual). Since they are friends…there’s a chance they’ve shared their mates, and you run the risk of contracting an STD. Be smart as you are now, and leave them be. There are plenty of other girls just as pretty that have something smarter to say.

What may be the cause of his apathy?
My dog started acting strangely, he is apathic and realy was just lying all day. Tomorow morning I am taking it to vet (its late afternoon now), but in the mean time I want to find out as much as possible about the possible cause of this.
My three things I could come up with:
1) he’s just exhausted (I took him on a pretty long walk’n'run)
2) the teething is causing this (his back teeth are comming)
3) lyme disease (he had tick about week ago)
Can I find out which of this is it most likely? How long does lyme disease take to show symptoms?
Can teething cause apathy? (I gave him treats and he didn’t eat them, he just took it in his mouth and didn’t chew it)
How dangerous is the lyme disease, how easily can it be cured?
is he epileptic?
how old is the dog?
teething will cause the dog to chew everything in site give it a good rawhide bone soaked in hot water for a little while then cool off will make it easier on the gums. is your dog about 4-5 month old?
You can actually walk your pup to far. A pup should not be walked far, they need time for there bones joints etc to grow to much running etc especially on large breeds can cause problems later in life.
you should start to walk your dog little walks by the time they are 6 month old walking getting further etc.
You said it had a tick I hope you did not pull it off.
Has your dog recently had its inoculations?

What is Lyme Disease in dogs? Transmitted through the bite of a tick, Borrelia burgdorferi is the scientific name of the bacteria that Blood tests can assist in the diagnosis of Lyme Disease in dogs.causes Lyme Disease. The disease is actually named after the town in Connecticut where an early outbreak was first described… Lyme, Connecticut. (Remember, ticks don’t cause the disease, they merely harbor and transmit the bacteria that cause the disease.) And being fussy little bacteria, not just any ol’ genus of tick will do as a carrier. At least three known species of ticks can transmit Lyme Disease. However, the great majority of Lyme Disease transmissions are due to the bite of a very tiny tick commonly called the Deer Tick, or Black-legged Tick. Its scientific name is Ixodes (pronounced eye-zod-ease) scapularis. Lyme Disease in dogs has been reported in every state but certain geographical areas are much more likely to harbor bacteria-carrying ticks than others.
