Brain Diseases in Dogs

brain diseases in dogs
Do cause diseases in humans?

Now, basically, I’m wondering what sort of Dogs can cause in humans… all the way from Brain Tumors (how can a do that!?) to… allergies. So… please tell me what you can.

Are dogs dangerous to a man’s if they’re kept in the home?

I mean… I don’t see people falling over and dying due to dog related diseases every day… yet, one of the doctors I know says that they can cause deadly diseases!

Man and dogs have lived together for centuries. Sure some diseases can be transmitted from dogs to man such as rabies but certainly not brain cancer. Common sense methods such as hand washing can prevent the transmission of common viruses and bacteria.

Intestinal Disease in Dogs

IS Revolution (selamectin)+Drontal Allwormer OR Canex Multispectrum Wormer COMBO GOOD 2 DEWORM PUPS OVER 2 MON?

Are these combos good to deworm pups…..I will definately not wait for or any worm to show up to begin treatment . Infact i want to start it now so i don’t have to see my pup suffering..

REVOLUTION (SELAMECTIN):
# Kills adult fleas, flea eggs and flea larvae in the environment
# Treats, controls and prevents flea infestations
# Controls Flea Allergy Dermatitis
# Prevents heartworm
# Treats and controls ear mites
# Treats and controls sarcoptic mange in puppies and
# Treats and controls intestinal hookworm and roundworm

DRONTAL ALLWORMER OR CANEX MULTISPECTRUM WORMER
#Controls all 11 Gastroinestinal worms including: roundworm, hookworm, whipworm and tapeworm

I would definitely recommend Revolution for cats but it’s not my first choice for dogs.

I would recommend Interceptor for dogs/puppies simply b/c it is an oral pill you give once a month that prevents against – Heartworms, Hookworms, Roundworms and Whipworms. Very simple and easy to do and it prevents against the main intestinal parasites and of course the deadly heartworms.

In combination w/ this I would use Frontline Plus to prevent against fleas and ticks. If you EVER give your puppies/dogs a bath you HAVE to use a soap-free shampoo. If you use a regular shampoo it will wash off the Frontline. It doesn’t matter how long the Frontline has been on the it will still wash it off. Most people don’t know this about frontline and some vets (or vet staff) forget to mention it. Be sure to apply Frontline either 2 days before a bath or 2 days after. This will help in the absorption of the product.

As far as the dewormer goes I would definitely ask your vet about both of the above. Some over-the-counter de-wormers can make puppies sick. I would see what your vet recommends. Plus if you use interceptor and frontline you won’t need a dewormer unless your puppy gets tapeworms or coccidia (which is actually a protozoa not a worm). Hope this helps!

Dog Diseases Illnesses

dog diseases illnesses
How is /illness identified?

How is disease/illness identified in ??? what are symptoms and changes in the animal ???

xxx
i do have a and she is perfectly healthy, i am just looking for information as i am doing research, and would like peoples oppinions

thanks xx

If you own a dog you know when it is not acting like usual. You then investigate. If the dog doesn’t seem to improve in a short time you call the vet.(depending on the symptoms) Of course any diarrhea, vomiting and blood would be good indications the dog needs a vet soon. But, lethargy and going off its feed are symptoms you may give a day or so to see if it continues. It’s really common sense!

Which isnt so common anymore?

Ask a Vet: can pass from fox to
Q: I often see foxes in my neighborhood. Can they spread any diseases to my ? A: Foxes are in the same phylogenetic family, Canidae, as our domestic . Therefore, many diseases that affect can affect foxes and can be spread from one to the other. The most concerning from a human perspective is rabies. Contact with the saliva of a rabid fox can cause infection in a pet …

Dog Lyme Disease

dog lyme disease
My has , drinks , but wont eat. I am also having trouble administing his meds, any help?

He bit me once when i tried to give him a pill. I am at a loss. Before i take him back to the vet tomorrow
any suggestions?
Also, he turns his head away from everything now. Pill pockets didnt work, rice, chopmeat, chicken, cheese…… HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Besides the obvious of hiding the medication in a treat, it can be very tricky. You can look for a pill gun but you still have to open the mouth to “pop” it in. Most medications can be compounded to a liquid if you think that would be easier but there are some that just wont take anything. There are some owners that bring their animal into the vet daily or however the vet works it out for an injection of the medication. Good luck and I hope he feels better!
