calamine lotion chicken pox – early stages of chicken pox – how to get chicken pox

Why is it worse to get chicken pox as an adult than when you’re younger?
I was thinking about this randomly, but yeah.
When you’re an adult, your immunity is way stronger as opposed to when you were little.
So why does the chicken pox attack you harder when you’re an adult?
Just wondering, thanks!
the chicken pox virus is very similar to herpes, when you are younger the body combats it really well and you become immune, however the virus stays in the spinal fluid in your back and when older it can cause something called shingles (harmless, treatable with a lotion)
when you are older it can badly affect reproductive organs, also in severe cases with people who have unusually weak immune systems it can lead to liver and kidney faliure.
hope this helps.
Adult Chicken Pox – Chicken Pox Vaccine Doesn’t Work
I know it’s possible for people to get Chicken Pox later in life if he/she had them as a child, because I know people who have been in that situation. I woke up yesterday morning with my hands and feet covered in what looked like big ant bites. I know it isn’t ant bites because there are no ants in my bedroom, and I haven’t gotten bitten lately. I’ve retraced everything I’ve done in the past 3 days, and nothing was out of the ordinary. I haven’t used any new lotions or soaps. I’m not allergic to poison ivy…..I’m not sure what it is. But it’s mainly on my hands, feet, and the back of my knees. It has spread drastically between yesterday morning and now. What do yall think?
Interesting that it would be on your hands and feet primarily. Most chickenpox start around your abdomen and back area. Do you have any other symptoms? You should see your doctor.

Does this sound like chicken pox to you?
son has been sort of crankier than normal…not running fever…acts kind of just blah…upset tummy….and then lastnight noticed he was itching around his genitals, very severely and forcefully nonstop itching, then his back, legs, arms, tummy, neck, face…has scattered blisters and almost bug bite looking sores and some broken lesions throughout (mostly looks like the open ones are on his legs and has been scratching them to the point of bleeding. Appears to be different stages of bumps, etc. throughout his body. And from pics I’ve seen, plus I AM a nurse, it looks to me like a huge possibility he has chicken pox. . .but not hundred percent sure…BUT, what else could it be?
it does seem to be like chicken pox…better take him to a doc for confirmation because it could also be some sort of allergy at times. use of calamine lotion ll help reduce the irritation, isolate all his clothings, and utensils to prevent spreading the infection. take care
I had the chicken pox
